Gala Games announced on Jan 10, 2023 on Discord that it has acquired Ember Entertainment, the mobile gaming studio that currently has over 20 million users worldwide.
The deal was hush-hush with no figures as to how much money changed hands, but it is an exciting move that will benefit casual and blockchain gamers.
Through this acquisition, Gala Games can now reach 3 billion people who play mobile games. Mobile gamers also spend over $40 billion on mobile games, either to purchase or on in-game elements.
Even though we’re in a bear market, the blockchain gaming industry is booming right now. Gala Games is now positioned to offer more games focused on gameplay and not cryptocurrencies, which has been their mantra since inception.
