Pokémon NFTs are commonly shared and traded on NFT marketplaces like OpenSea. Majority are fan-created, however there are official Pokémon NFT cards if you’re keen to own one and have enough funds.

Once you click the ‘Play on PC’ icon, instead of downloading the Pokemon TCG, you will download a remote access tool ‘NetSupport Manager’, which hackers will use to take control of your device. So, even if you don’t have crypto assets, the hacker gets access to anything else of value on your PC.

Your PC, mouse, keyboard, files and folders, OS, and your browsing history will all be accessible to the attackers. Additionally, the attackers can upload files, execute commands giving them further access to install more viruses.

AhnLab advises all internet users to always verify their download sources and to download or install applications from official websites, and not to click on any suspicious or unexpected emails.
