Rock band Muse, which was quite popular in the early 2000s, now wants to bathe in the rays of crypto hype and will release their ninth album, Will of the People, in NFT format on the crypto platform Serenade. The album is scheduled for release on August 26.

What’s on offer?

The Serenade platform is positioning itself as an eco-friendly platform that helps artists monetize their creativity with NFTs. Thus, the customer is offered a trendy mix of green rock on NFT wheels (powered by Polygon-based superfast blockchain). Man, could you even dream of that in your youth?

Probably to create a crush among their purchasers, the circulation of tokens from Muse is limited to only 1,000 pieces. Hope Muse doesn’t think it has only 1,000 fans? What the rest of the fans should do is not quite clear; probably, they will have to seek their luck with pirates.

Let’s grow together!

For $24.5, a lucky buyer will get a downloadable version of the album as high-resolution FLAC files containing digital signatures of Muse members. In addition, the names of each of the 1,000 purchasers will be listed on a special list tied to the release.

“Muse have always had a great appetite for innovation and pushing the boundaries of how they deliver their music to fans, so using this technology to elevate the experience of their new album made a lot of sense,” said Serenade CEO Max Shand.

How does it work?

Users don’t have to have a crypto wallet to buy NFT; people will be able to use debit and credit cards to purchase Muse digital creations directly. When a user signs up for Serenade, the platform automatically creates a digital wallet on their behalf using the Web3Auth infrastructure solution.

In this implementation the real crypto capabilities are completely hidden from the fans, thus eliminating the benefits of blockchain. It’s not just politicians who mess with our heads 24/7, but aging musicians too.
