On January 4, 2022, Magic Eden NFTs faced an issue with an external image provider that resulted in the release of inappropriate content, including pornography and images from the popular TV show “The Big Bang Theory,” onto the platform.
Users of Magic Eden were quick to report the issue on social media. Despite the mishap, the company was able to quickly resolve the problem and assured users that there had been no hack and that all NFTs remained secure.

A representative from Magic Eden advised users experiencing any lingering issues to restart their browsers and stated that the company was unable to disclose the name of the third-party image provider for security reasons.
Magic Eden is an NFT marketplace, a giant in the Solana ecosystem, where users can buy and sell NFTs on the Ethereum and Polygon platforms. Collections on the site include Azuki, BAYC, Taiyo Pilots, DeGods, Voxies, and others, with Solana NFTs being particularly popular.
Prices for NFTs on the platform range from 1 ETH to a high of 469 ETH, with the current price of ETH being $1,252.23 USD.
The recent bear market has caused a significant decrease in NFT sales, with December 2022 seeing a drop of almost 90% from the record high of $4.9 billion in January 2023, as reported by Crypotslam here.
