There is no “too young” age to enter crypto. A popular Twitter and YouTube blogger got interested in the industry at 13 and did her first transaction at 16. She even chose Miss Teen as a nickname.

Today, Miss Teen Crypto is 19 years old and spreads knowledge about crypto to 61k+ people. “Anyone at any age can enter crypto — that’s the beauty of this space,” claims Miss.

In this interview for buidlbee she tells how to do it and shares her rules of crypto investing.

“I picked Bitcoin pretty quick as I am Gen Z”

Miss Teen has heard about Bitcoin since she was 13 years old because her father has been in the crypto space since 2016. “But I didn’t understand Bitcoin for a while until I was 16,” she says. She did her first Bitcoin transaction also with her father and was impressed by the ease of this process.

“I saw that all you have to do is scan a QR code or copy/paste an address to transact. So after that, I started googling what Bitcoin was and picked it up pretty quick as I’m Gen Z and digitally native,” shares Miss. As they say, she immediately “fell down the crypto rabbit hole.”

Let’s grow together!

No matter how digital native Miss was, she still had to learn a lot, so she began to study: ask her father as well as the community.

“I joined conversations on Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces, and it helped me a lot,” she says.

At seventeen, she decided that it was not enough for her to just invest and learn, so she started her crypto blog — to spread information to Gen Z and millennials.

“When I started, I was a junior in high school”

“I started using social media to spread the word about Bitcoin and crypto when I was a junior in high school. I wanted to help onboard my generation and educate the world on this digital revolution,” says Miss Teen Crypto. She adds that she was welcomed in this space but still got much hate. But she chose to ignore it and continued doing what she was doing.

That was the right path. Now Miss is a full-time blogger and investor. Her goal for the future is to onboard Gen Z and educate the masses on cryptocurrency and NFTs.

“My audience is global with all ages, primarily Gen Z and millennials,” says Miss Crypto. “Anyone at any age can enter crypto — that’s the beauty of this space. All I had to do at 16 was download a wallet on the AppStore — from there, I was able to send and receive digital payments.”

“Investing in cryptocurrency is not for the weak”

In investing, Miss Teen also prefers simplicity. But she also adds that “investing in cryptocurrency is not for the weak.”

“Seeing a few cycles in this space, I realized there is volatility, and this is a long-term play,” she explains.

Miss mainly uses the DCA (dollar cost average) strategy, meaning she buys periodically regardless of the price. She says that for someone who doesn’t keep up with price action and just wants to accumulate, it can be an easier strategy as you can start buying just $1 of Bitcoin.

“I’ve been buying during the bear and bull market, watching my portfolio go up and down. I learned to be patient and separate emotions from trading,” Miss Teen recommends.

Another thing Miss Teen focuses on is risk management. “I have a plan of how much I want to trade, and most importantly, I don’t invest more than I can afford to lose.” But, of course, planning is impossible without research.

“There is no harm in listening to someone else’s advice”

“There are countless things to look at while doing your own research,” starts Miss Teen. “When looking at projects, I look at their website, read their whitepapers, look at the team and the utility.”

She also looks at places such as CoinMarketCap for price data and a brief look at history as well as a project’s tokenomics. Besides that, she says watching explainer videos is extremely helpful. “The most important thing is taking your time and pacing yourself to fully understand what you’re investing in.”

In addition, Miss Teen Crypto watches other influencers and listens to their advice. “Watching others can be a good part of doing research,” she claims. “There’s no harm in listening to opinions other than your own. Absorb all information and execute what you feel is best.”

Her favorites on the market are “blue chips” such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum.

“I’m a big fan of Proof of Work and projects with limited supply, which Bitcoin and Litecoin have. Ethereum opened the doors for DeFi. There are great developments and solutions that projects on Ethereum provide.”
