The King of 2022 is…BabyDoge? Top 10 cryptocurrencies on Twitter

Crypto expert Watcher.Guru has published a list of the top 10 most popular cryptocurrencies in the world by the number of their Twitter followers. LUNA is not there, which might have been expected, but if you are totally sure that Bitcoin took the first place, then you are dead wrong.

There are thousands of different cryptocurrencies, each with its own community of fans. The least they can do is subscribe to their favorite coin’s official account on social networks. If nothing else, it can increase its credibility and value in the market. So, let’s see who has the most followers. 

1. BNB — Binance 8.99M.
2. Bitcoin — Bitcoin 5.31M.
3. Dogecoin — 3.4M.
4. SHIB — 3.38M.
5. Ethereum — 2.59M.
6. XRP — 2.51M.
7. CRO — 2.21M.
8. Solana — 1.87M.
9. Polygon — 1.52M.
10. BabyDoge — 1.43M.

This is not exactly what we are used to seeing, is it? Bitcoin, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency in terms of market cap, is only the second, while Ethereum is not even that. 

It is worth mentioning that there are three coins that originated from Internet memes in the top 10. Trader Daniel Tagirta thinks that proves we are still at the beginning of the meme coins phenomenon.

LUNA is not on the list, and it shouldn’t be a surprise, especially after Terra’s meltdown. But there are some users who are sure that LUNA 2.0 will be there at the next top 10.
