“Shocked. It happened to them again,” says one of the comments under the information reported by a blockchain detective and a member of the Crypto Twitter OKHotshot. He states that the scammers have hacked the Discord account of the Yuga Labs community manager and posted a message about “ANOTHER exclusive” free NFT giveaway. The victims were scammed for more than 145 ETH. At the time of writing, it’s about $276k.
The attack happened on 4 June. It is unknown how the scammers managed to hack the community manager’s account. OKHotshot says that it wasn’t prevented even by the two-factor authentication. Scammers stole more than $257k and 32 NFT tokens owned by Yuga Labs Bored Yacht Club and Otherside Metaverse.
Boris Vagner got his account breached, which let the scammers execute their phishing attack. Over 145 Ethereum was stolen», — said OKHotshot.
Here’s what the hackers’ message looks like:

The message contained a link to a web page that allows users to get free NFTs. The scammers stated that the number of tokens was limited. However, when the users came to the page, all the ETH and NFTs from their wallets were sent to the hackers.
According to the OKHotshot investigation, scammers shared phishing links to official groups such as BAYC, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, and Otherside. Yuga Labs officials have not yet commented on the situation.
This is the second attack on the Bored Ape Yacht Club in the last two weeks. In his investigation, OKHotshot has already revealed the wallets on which the recently compromised NFTs were stored and sent.
