M3 Games is more than a game. It’s more than an ecosystem.

M3 is giving other gaming studios and artists the ability to create games using simple, ready-made templates on the ecosystem. These creations can be transferred to any ecosystem and are not limited for use on M3 Games.

What is M3 Games?

M3 stands for MultiMetaMultiverse, and apart from giving game developers and artists a platform to build their own creations, M3 Games also has its own games. Sweet Clash is the first game developed by the team, with more titles like God of Gods (expected release date in December 2022), Sweet Stone and Sweet War, expected in 2023.

All the games in the M3 metaverse will enable players to interact with each other across all the different games using NFTs (characters) for maximum gaming experience. For instance, Gods of Gods, which is the second game expected for release, will spot the same battle arena, environments and maps as Sweet Clash, but with different NFTs.

A player on Sweet Clash can play directly against a player on God of Gods. It’s just a matter of which NFT collection they prefer.

About Sweet Clash (and God of Gods)

Sweet Clash is an exciting Real Time Strategy (RTS) game built on HTML 5, playable on any device without the need to download.

Similar to Clash Royale but set in a sweet universe, Sweet Clash is a head-to-head tower defense battle game, with adorable characters with no distinguishing theme, apart from the fact that they are NFTs and absolutely adorable.

“We want to give people on Web3 something different, yet familiar. We want to bring gamers from Web2 to Web3 without the pressure of cryptocurrencies.” Leopold Maurel, Co-founder and CEO of M3 Games.

Why not launch a Triple A game that Web2 players love and appreciate?

Simply because they are expensive. Also, triple A games require more time to play each level or chapter in a game. In Sweet Clash right now, each level takes about 3 minutes of gameplay, making the game short, sweet and enjoyable.

 “We have built double A games for now, but if our community votes for us to create a triple A game, then we will do so, in the future, perhaps 2023…” Leopold.

M3 Games is for the gamers

We are all too familiar with the uncertainty of the stability of DeFi as hackers prove that the decentralized network is not 100% safe.

By building the ecosystem on both the centralized and decentralized network, M3 Games is bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3. They’re giving players the option to invest in their games through play-to-earn mechanics, or to simply play the game and have fun.

The characters (NFTS) are upgradeable!

Plus, you can move the tower in the map and place it in different positions on the map. Defend the tower by selecting either low range with high damage, or high range tower with low damage.

You can also transform your towers into NFTs and upgrade them like crazy!

All this is in the alpha testing but test it out during the public beta launch.

Leopold revealed that players should expect many more easter eggs and combo moves.

By combo moves, we’re not referring to Mortal Kombat or Tekken combos.

For example, Popsy, the adorable popcorn head character is not that powerful – a low skill character. Yet, when you place the Unicorn character behind him, Popsy becomes fast!

Can you spot Popsy and the Unicorn?

What you do is, place Popsy on the bridge on the Sweet Clash map. Then put the Unicorn behind Popsy and Popsy immediately zooms to the tower like The Flash.

Leopold and the M3 Games won’t make any spoiler sheets for the game. Players will have to uncover the easter eggs themselves. I do however think that some clues will be put up on Twitter or on their Discord page.

Sweet Clash – best of both worlds

Sweet Clash is already proof of concept as it is built on both the blockchain network, as well as on HTML 5, making it accessible and downloadable on all devices.

Nonetheless, when playing any M3 Game like Sweet Clash, you still earn M3 tokens, in-game rewards and collectible NFTs that can be retrieved at any time.

The M3 Game mechanics allows gamers to connect to the MetaMask wallet only when they want to tap into the play-to-earn or blockchain side of the game.

 “Why build a game exclusively on blockchain technology and get only 2,000 players, when you could build on both Web2 & Web3 and have over 2 million players, like we currently have for the Sweet Clash game!?”

Not a small flex for Leopold and the M3 Games team, but he does make a valid point.

After all, the team at M3 Games led by Leopold have been conceptualizing the ecosystem since 2014, and their recent feats barely scratch the surface of the many and big plans they have for their metaverse.

They understand that gamers want to make a living out of playing games, seen with the rise and uptake of Axie Infinity in developing countries.

Therefore, to cater to ALL audiences, they introduced the “Scholarship Program.”

The Scholarship Program

Whether a pro or a noob, the Scholarship Program gives all players a chance to play M3 Games and even participate in tournaments. The spoils of the game are what is shared between the original NFT owner, and the borrower.

The Scholarship Program is completely FREE, without any gas fees. The original owner of the NFT only pays fees when they put their NFTs in the ecosystem.

NFT owners are making money while they sleep! They lend out their NFT for use when offline or when not on the M3 Games platform. Meanwhile, another player from the other side of the world has “borrowed” the NFT to use it in gaming.

Any cards won in the game can be transformed to NFTs after paying the floor price. Which now becomes possible and easy for any player, especially those who utilize the Scholarship Program.

The M3 Games eSports tournaments

Part of their big plans is to host an eSports tournament featuring the games on the M3 Games platform.

You can read more about it in the Whitepaper here, but in summary, there will be four tournaments with four different entry fees.

1. Beginner tournaments start with an entry fee of €3 to €5. If you don’t have enough cash to enter, you can bid 1 M3 token, which is €1 with another gamer. Or, bid more to get more entries.

Another way to participate is to finish the adventure mode and reach League 5. Here, you will automatically get an airdrop of M3 tokens to participate in the tournament for FREE.

If you win, you triple your entry fee, earn M3 tokens and can proceed to the intermediate tournament.

2. The intermediate tournament also has a cash prize, as well as the M3 tokens, but the stakes are high. Plus, you get the chance to participate in the Epic tournament, and finally, the Legendary tournament where the stakes are higher.
3. The Legendary tournament will have a cash prize of €500 up for grabs.

M3 Games are true pioneers and in it for the fun of the game

The initial entry fees for every tournament are what will constitute the prize money for the tournaments, which will be held weekly, monthly and annually. (Did I hear someone say League of Legends?)

Therefore, the more tournaments M3 Games hosts, the more cash prizes up for grabs.

For example, if they were to host a Legendary tournament every day, the annual cash prize could be €1,000,000 or more! Which is insane, and a first for blockchain gaming.

As with any game or sport, you need skill and strategy solving skills to win. This holds true especially for Sweet Clash which is already available to play. The tournaments however, have been put on hold.

When are the M3 Games tournaments set to begin?

M3 halted their mint sessions due to their update from Uniswap v2 to v3, which required some time. So, they have put their eSports tournaments on hold until December 2022, just before Christmas.

God of Gods also has its public beta launch set for December 2022, with the internal team at M3 Games tweaking the alpha version of the game.

Leopold summarized our interview with some tips and tricks to not only win at Sweet Clash or any of their M3 Games, but also how to make the most money.

“Start playing the Sweet Clash Game and collect as many Golden Rabbits as possible. We didn’t launch the M3 token or ISO, because we want players to enjoy the game first and foremost.

With the Golden rabbit, players will have the advantage of transforming them into the M3 tokens at a really great rate.”

The promise is that the M3 tokens cannot decrease in value, thanks to the mechanics of the M3 games ecosystem. It only stands to make money for their community.
