Celebrities start to leave the NFT crowd while the New York NFT convention has to hire a Snoop Dogg double

Celebrities started to change their Twitter profile photos from the NFT-oriented to more usual. Among the first who joined the sudden flashmob were the fans of one of the most popular NFT collections, Bored Ape Yacht Club, showman Jimmy Fallon and singer Peris Hilton. However, they are probably not yet ready to discard the “.eth” suffix, at least for now, probably hoping that crypto winter will soon be over.

Are we Apes or not anymore?

Before crypto winter began, many celebrities joined the NFT cult. Among these were Serena Williams, Reese Witherspoon, Shonda Rhimes, Lil Durk, Travis Barker, Meek Mill, Jimmy Fallon, and Peris Hilton. However, with the onset of the crisis, they began to pay less attention to the world of NFT.

With certain detachment, the flashmob was supported by Fallon, who changed his profile photo without any message on Twitter.

By the way, the NFT NYC convention is currently going on near Time Square, just around the corner from the showman’s stage. Its organizers, too, had to take desperate measures. According to a tweet from NBC News reporter Kevin Collier, the convention may have hired a Snoop Dogg look-a-like.

“Snoop walked by, flanked by security. I grabbed his handler and said I’m a reporter and would love a few minutes. The guy said that’s an impersonator, legally can’t say it’s him, they hired him to drum up excitement,” said Kevin Collier.

There is a possibility that Snoop Dogg simply could not come to the event because he is busy developing his gastronomic NFT-oriented project, Food Fighters Universe

The actor Anthony Hopkins is not in the best of situations right now. The Silence of the Lambs star has only recently joined the NFT crowd, but its other members are already leaving the party.
